Breonna McCree is a potent advocate for social justice, boasting more than twenty years of committed experience in furthering the cause for the broader transgender community in the San Francisco Bay Area. Acknowledged as the prior Director of Community Engagement at the Center of Excellence for Transgender Health, University of California San Francisco, she spearheaded initiatives in transgender empowerment, behavioral interventions, and HIV prevention. McCree made substantial contributions to organizations such as Walden House Recovery Services, TARC, Public Health Institute, and UCSF.

Her steadfast commitment to transgender empowerment earned her recognition as a 2023 Grand Marshal by San Francisco Pride, supported by accolades from Mayor London Breed, Senator Scott Wiener, and the Bayard Rustin Coalition.

As Co-Executive Director of the Transgender District, McCree focuses on fostering collaboration, establishing impactful partnerships, and developing programs resonating with the diverse transgender community in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood. Her goal is to economically empower and stabilize transgender individuals through ownership of businesses, homes, historic sites, and community space.
